Mandatory Pre-Trip Meeting for Service Saturday: Bloomington, IL This is a MANDATORY pre-trip orientation for all Western Illinois University students who have signed up to participate in the upcoming Service Saturday trip to Home Sweet Home Ministries on November 15th.
If you are signed up to volunteer, you must attend this brief session. We will cover all critical information and answer any questions you may have to ensure a safe and successful day of service.
What We Will Cover:
- Logistics & Schedule: Review of the official departure time, return time, and checkpoint locations for the provided transportation from the Macomb campus.
- Safety & Conduct: Essential guidelines and expectations for conduct while representing WIU and serving at Home Sweet Home Ministries.
- Volunteer Roles: A detailed overview of the tasks you will be assisting with, including serving meals, cleaning, and general maintenance, to make sure you are prepared.
- Agency Mission: A brief introduction to the mission of Home Sweet Home Ministries and the specific impact your service will have on the unhoused population they serve.
- Required Forms: Collection of any necessary waiver or liability forms.
Failure to attend this mandatory orientation may result in your removal from the volunteer roster. Please be on time!
