Genesis Garden is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Macomb, Illinois, USA. Our mission: Cultivating hope, nurturing dreams, empowering community.
Our primary focus is housing and making homelessness brief, rare and non-recurring. We strive to work from an asset-based, trauma-informed, trauma-recovery lens.

What We Do
Everyone deserves to have a place to call home. We support those experiencing housing insecurity. We offer eviction prevention and permanent supportive housing to help individuals and families stay housed. We also provide emergency shelter and rapid re-housing for those who are already on the street or living their car or in tents.
We also:
- provide free summer meals for kids

- Open Table (co-investing relational and social capital in individuals with complex needs to address solutions to daunting community challenges <https://www.theopentable.org/>
- are on the path to becoming a HUD-approved Housing Counseling agency.
